Progesterone cream is used to treat progesterone deficiency, which can cause you to experience swollen breasts, fibrocystic breasts, low thyroid, water retention, weight gain, depression and loss of libido. While you are experiencing menopause, the amount of progesterone in your body drops to 0. We will talk about how to use progesterone cream to treat these symptoms, but first let’s look at why you would want to use it.

The use of progesterone cream helps to replace the progesterone in your body. By introducing progesterone into the body you help to restore the natural balance between progesterone and estrogen. The fluctuations of these two hormones are responsible for the majority of all symptoms of menopause and perimenopause. The combination of herbal remedies and the application of a naturally occurring progesterone cream can help restore your body’s natural balance.

Progesterone cream is a moisturizing cream that is based on the Mexican Yam root. How to use progesterone cream most effectively is to apply it to your face and hands. It can also be applied to your chest, abdomen, inner thigh and even your arms. This cream will not only help keep your skin free of dry patches but also raise the amount of naturally occurring progesterone in your body. This restoration of progesterone in your body is what helps relieve the symptoms of menopause.

There are several makers of this type of cream and you should look for the amount of progesterone in the cream and what its source is. A good cream will be aloe vera based for the moisturizing effect but it should also not clog your pores. Creams like this should also be fragrance free and should be hypoallergenic. You do not want to risk an allergic reaction to the treatment. You also don’t want to go around smelling like you have been using a progesterone cream treatment. We all know what Ben-Gay smells like.

The reason for the use of a cream to deliver progesterone is that is can be absorbed into the skin in just a few minutes. This process also allows the progesterone to bypass the liver and go straight to the specific receptors that need the progesterone in the first place.

Progesterone cream is one of the easiest steps to take in combatting menopausal symptoms. How to use progesterone cream most effectively is to simply apply it once a day in the recommended amount. You still need to be careful with anything you use to treat your menopause symptoms to make sure that you are getting what you pay for. Keeping a symptom diary will show you over time if the treatment is effective. Always be sure to let your doctor know what you are doing so you can avoid any complications from drug interactions with other meds.

My husband is going to have a vasectomy reversal and my question is, can it, as infertility treatment, be deducted from taxes? At least part of it? Some websites compared it to the medical procedure to correct one’s disability (to have children) and such, I understood, are deductible. Do medical expenses have to be 7.5 % Gross Annual Income to be tax-deductible?

My DH and I have been ttc for about 8 months. We have been charting and timing intercourse the whole time and my charts look good (show ovulation and CM). We saw an infertlity specialist and he ordered a sperm analysis for my HD and a HSP for me.

My HD and I have only been with eachother so we know neither of us have or have had an STD, so my question is. Doesn’t an HSP seem like an invasive next step to take before blood tests?

What tests were ordered for any of you who have had trouble ttc?
I meant HSG ….
what is SSH?

If you need any medical treatments like invitro fertilization (ivf) in India, the cost is far cheaper than in the US or Europe. So, you can have treatments done in India, get world class treatments, get a free holiday and have cash left over! It offers what you call a language advantage - a patient would surely prefer a country where English is widely spoken. Also, it is believed that the facilities are more suited for International patients. Many highly qualified doctors have had some form of training from abroad, especially USA and UK. Indian surgeons and doctors are known for their skill and research throughout the world. Most couples from countries like USA and UK travel to developing countries such as India for invitro fertilization (ivf) treatment because it offers some of the cheapest pricing options, offers a good holiday, there are no waiting lists or queues to stand in, the doctors are comparable to anyone in the world and finally, language does not pose a problem as most people speak English.

 What is in vitro fertilization?

In order for pregnancy to occur, an egg has to be released from the ovary and unite with a sperm. Normally this union, called fertilization, occurs within the fallopian tube. When this process cannot take place in the body, it can be accomplished in the laboratory by using the in vitro fertilization (IVF) technique. The technique, as currently practiced, involves uniting an egg(s) collected from a woman’s ovary with sperm collected from her partner under laboratory conditions. The resulting normal embryo(s) may be transferred to the uterus (womb) for continued growth. The benefit of IVF and ET is that it gives a couple who may be unable to achieve a pregnancy an opportunity to attempt to overcome their infertility.

Success rate of in vitro fertilization

Techniques for assessing the viability of an embryo when genetic issues are present are cell biopsy and evaluation and pronuclear biopsy and evaluation. The pregnancy rate by age is similar to that of normally conceived pregnancies: 37% among women younger than 35 years and 28% for those aged 36-39 years. The success rate is about 13% in those older than 40 years. Pregnancy in women older than 44 years is rare. The rate of miscarriages with IVF pregnancies is the same as that with normally conceived pregnancies. Ectopic pregnancy occurs in about 3-5% of cases. An ectopic pregnancy is a serious condition that requires emergency medical care. The embryo is growing outside the uterus and does not survive.

For infertility procedures, India has a talent pool of qualified infertility surgeons, a lot of whom have been trained in the US and UK. With the recent development of the healthcare infrastructure, the best of facilities and equipment are also available with these surgeons. This coupled with the extremely low cost of the treatments makes India the ideal destination for your infertility treatment needs. These treatments are done in complete privacy. Some more procedures include intrauterine insemination (IUI), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), frozen embryo transfer program (FET) etc. A new dimension of the medical field taking off in India is invitro fertilization (ivf) treatment which utilizes some of the latest techniques in corrective procedures.

Low Jeremy asked:

In the past, we were made to believe that infertility is a condition that only occurs in female. But the recent science casts more enlightenment on myths that were thought to be facts, we now know for certain that infertility obviously appears even in the male patients.

In fact, we are to examine the recorded cases of infertility, details will show us that factors of infertility is divided almost equally among female and male factors. These constituting factors take 30% and another 30% are covered by the shared factors which itself covers the unknown infertility conditions. Depending on the problems that the patient presents, treatments will vary largely from medications to extensive case analysis that may incur surgeries and operations on the affected areas.

Say for example erectile dysfunction, the only obvious clinical representation for which one may base the diagnosis of the condition. (Note: Infertility is not a physical condition and most symptoms are only shade of a far greater problem that resides inside the male’s body.).

Erectile dysfunction can be readily treated with medications. But with more advanced signs of infertility in man, the ultimate treatment may lead both the patient and the physician to using assisted reproduction technologies which do not only address male factors causing infertility but may also help treat female infertility.

Normally, in several types of assisted reproduction technologies, male patients are asked to produce semen from which the sperm cells are gathered. There are many factors that will lead the techniques to either its success or its failure. One of which is the semen quality.

If the semen quality is workable for in-vitro fertilization (a form of assisted reproduction technology), it can fertilize along with female egg cells. This would commence all other methods that will follow after the semen and egg retrieval.

However, if the semen has overly low quality, it would be possible that the patients will be asked if they would want to adopt sperms from donors. If not, the procedure won’t continue at all. If they would agree then the cycle will be limited to the egg cell from the partner and sperm cells from another person.

Unfortunately, there exists no technology that will help increase the quality of the sperm cells of a specific person. The only thing that the medical science can do is to make the most out of the present condition the sperm quality may offer.

Male infertility is nearly hundred percent based on sperm problems. It may either be that the male patient develops poor sperm quality, low sperm count, or worse no sperm at all. Unfortunately enough, there is still no technique that may affect the condition of the sperm cells as presented by the patient. Instead, all treatments focus on how to make the most of the sperm cells that are under study.

In male infertility treatment, the female factors should also be taken seriously as these, in fact, largely contribute to the presence of the condition. For untreated male infertility, there is only less than 50% possibility that pregnancy will occur more specifically for cases that present semen quality as the main focus of the problem.

However, it is strange how the nature of semen quality fluctuation is not understood in the medical community. Often, the belief that the treatment is effective or ineffective depending on the variability of the treatment is misleading. Meanwhile, wide spectrum of male infertility treatments is still, for the present, has no scientific evidence to back up their effectiveness. This spectrum covers herbal treatments to hormonal treatment.

One of the simplest yet considered high-tech procedure in male infertility treatment is the artificial insemination of the sperm cells coupled with ovarian stimulation.

In-vitro fertilization, a method that is fastly becoming the ultimate option for nearly all couples who can afford the extensive treatment seem to offer a solution for infertility. Nonetheless, there are still no accurate parameters to predict the effectiveness of the treatment. In common cases, patients normally undergo 3 cycles before a possible conception is achieved. Aside from financial taxation, this infertility treatment can also exhaust the willingness of the couple to do the procedure for the 5th, 9th or who-can-guess how many more times.

Another option in aid of fertilization for poor sperm quality is the use of sperm donation. This is rarely the case though since men, with the high rate of sperm production is almost impossible of not creating semen. Nonetheless, for patients who are in need of this treatment, the assurance of success is high given the factor that the female is fertile.
